In December 2019, Paola Caporossi met the Regional Director for Europe of the World Bank on behalf of the Ethics Foundation, Arup Banerjiat the World Bank headquarters in Brussels.

The meeting concerned the theme of public governance and social accountability as a tool for making countries more transparent and efficient, and therefore more socially and economically developed.

The proposal on the table is that of a pilot project on some European countries with the aim of identifying common indicators for comparing, measuring and improving the transparency and efficiency of their public governance, at national and local level.

The European Commission could also be part of the project, which normally uses data based on perception, and not, as in the Public Rating, objective data.

A second meeting was held in February 2020.
